Porteño & Bailarina

Mens danceshoe BENITO, here without an interchangeable front sole core, in a variation made of black calfskin with gray patent leather, 35 mm Microsoft heel cushions shocks and protects the joints, the splitted sole has a higher rubber content (for very slippery floors). The leather is soft, the edges and tongue piece are well padded. Popular in the tango and salsa scene, but also easy for all dancers who like it a little more striking.

Where does the name Benito come from?

Why Benito?

We remind of Benito Bianquet (1885 -1942), called "El Cachafáz" - born, lived and died for tango - became the first show dancer from 1910 - he developed methods to teach, founded academies .. Carmencita Calderon .. with whom he danced until he died in Mar Del Plata after a show, says about him, he was not pretty, with a pockmarked face, also had no perfect figure, but an incomparable timing, coupled with incomparable elegance. He was a great "step creator" ... By the way, the two got to know each other in the club "Sin Rumbo" - it still exists today ..
