AZUCENA - FUXIA 90 mm

Particularly beautiful Tango sling dance shoe by Porteno & Bailarina, soft, fuxia suede on the back, in the front area soft leather fuxia, on which delicate sequins have been applied in small squares, the fastening strap is crossed around the instep, which makes the sandal look very high, but real the acrylic heel, which is carefully lacquered tone-on-tone, is 80 or 90 mm high, the velvety suede dance sole provides a good grip even on slippery floors, especially parquet ...

As all styles by P&B even this one got its name in memory of one of the greatest Tango Divas of Buenos Aires: Azucena Maizani (1902 - 1970) - that left us more than 270 recordings. She loved to perform in masculin vesture and Gaucho-pants, so Libertad Lamarque gave her affectionately the nickname "La Ñata Gaucha".  She left her marks on one of our favourite valses: "Vos Y Yo" (Your and I), listen on Youtube:
