Character Skirt

Character dance is a core concern of the Royal Academy of Dance®. For academic dance training, you wear the classic character skirt. At Dance Affairis Hamburg you can order this in various color combinations. 3 different shades of blue or in the combination Bordeaux/Purple/Prussian Blue. The waistband has an elastic band and is rather small. The skirts are sewn in Germany, the manufacturer is Danceries.

Dancing is one of the oldest means of expression. Folk dances have their origin in the early history of mankind. When the great ballets for the stage were created in the Romantic era, the choreographers brought folk dances into their narrative ballets in a more refined form. This is how the character dance was born. In it one finds the characteristic features of the dances from their countries of origin. Knowledge of classical ballet is required. With character dance, what is called for today comes naturally: that children are brought up to be open Europeans. Those who meet dancing in a circle lose their fear of strangers and become tolerant towards them. There are character dance courses for children from the age of 10, teenagers and adults.
